You know it's true love when you do countless road trips across the country - Florida and California and Canada and back- and are still married. Wow! I can't Believe you're both turning 60!
Is that possible? Aunt Carol is pretty close isn't she? That means you were really young when you had your first child.What an amazing accomplishment to have enjoyed each other for sixty years! The Sixty Years' War (1754–1814) was a military struggle for control of the Great Lakes region in North America, encompassing a number of wars over several generations and you both have been married for that same length of time. Truly a remarkable feat.
Sometimes I wonder how you both were able to overcome an engagement filled with adventures and challenges in the year of 1947:
January 30 - February 8 -heavy blizzards in Canada buried towns from Winnipeg to Calgary.
January 31 - Communists take power in Poland, who would have thought?
April 15 - Jackie Robinson becomes the first African American to play Major League Baseball.
April 16 - The Texas City Disaster - Ammonium nitrate cargo of SS Grandcamp explodes in Texas City, Texas - 552 dead, 3000 injured, 200 lost, 20 city blocks destroyed. (FYI... this one was for the Larson's living in Texas please be safe!!! I Think Texas is great! I just would advise not living in that particular city.)
June 20 - Bugsy Siegel found shot in the Beverly Hills mansion of Virginia Hill.
June 21 - Doug Corbett marries Sue in what makes the biggest news of the year! I don't remember what else happened after the 21st of June since it really doesn't matter.
Congratulations! We love you both so much! You have demonstrated the perfect example of a Godly couple and we can only strive to be a fraction of that. Thank you for the wonderful memories and the many more we will enjoy together!

They attended musical shows by PLATTERS, COASTERS & the DRIFTERS
and a performance of Wynn Las Vegas's LE REVE!
With dinners out and relaxing afternoons by the pool, Dad & Mom celebrated life!
Earl & Adele treated us all to their time share condo in Vegas.
Paul & Carol presented Dad & Mom with a GPS for future travels.
